In CTI’s Individualized Induction Program, candidates engage weekly with a highly-trained mentor. Using 40 inquiry topics as a framework for mentoring conversations, as well as receiving “just-in-time” support, provides the opportunity to continually reflect on and improve their teaching practice.

Our purpose is to provide a flexible, supportive,
individualized induction experience to all new
teachers through the mentoring of a reflective coach.

High-Impact Coaching

Candidates meet with an expert reflective coach an
average of one hour per week for support through focused
cycles of inquiry as well as "just-in-time" daily instructional
and management needs. Candidates receive targeted
feedback to further develop effective teaching practices
as measured by the CSTPs.

Job-Embedded

Candidates actively engage in job-embedded cycles
of inquiry by self-selecting a need or interest aligned
to a CSTP. Candidates develop a fluid Individualized
Learning Plan, reflect on their practice, receive
feedback and ongoing support from their reflective coach.

Candidates strengthen their teaching practice by
developing a habit-of-mind of continuous improvement
through intentional reflection guided by their reflective
coach during weekly meetings and observations.
