In May, 2019, Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) received approval from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) to offer an intern program for Education Specialists. The new program offers a Mild/Moderate or a Moderate/Severe Education Specialist teaching credential. Interested individuals can earn a teaching credential while teaching in their own classroom. The two-year program includes attending classes two nights a week at the RCOE Conference Center, support from a Practicum Supervisor and a Site Mentor as well as small cohort sizes and low tuition.
